Allie & Rob | Indian Wells Golf Resort Wedding

Allie & Rob, the first wedding of 2024! I have too many good things to say about these two and their beautiful wedding at the Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California, but here are some highlights that made their day so special:

Allie's getting ready photos were all things glam. She brought out the works; the feather robe, the heart-shaped sunglasses, and lots and lots of champagne. The tone set during their getting ready photos can have a massive impact on the day. Do everything you can to make it as easy and celebratory as possible, and I can guarantee you'll be giddy going into the rest of the wedding day.

It was so important for Allie and Rob to keep things casual and fun in their wedding party photos. they didn’t want a lot of posing but instead just wanted to goof around with her people. Some of my favorite photographs I’ve ever taken have been the ones taken in transition. So, my advice to others with a large wedding party: goof around and be yourselves, walk from place to place, and dance in between if it moves you. The result? Photos that can feel effortless and embody you.

One of my favorite moments from the day was Allie and Rob’s Miller High Life "champagne" tower. This is IT. It’s such a beautiful example of participating in a trend, but in a way that feels unique to you.

We closed out the night with Allie surprising Rob by singing a rendition of "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse. Allie has got some pipes, and it was so much fun to see the crowd go wild for her.

This blog post is a fun one as well because it is the first time that I’m sharing film taken throughout Allie and Rob’s wedding day. It has been so much fun to integrate 35mm and medium format film into my wedding days. It has such a nostalgic and imperfect vibe that compliments moments so beautifully.
