Zack & Jose | Intimate Elopement at Villa Leche
what gets better than sunrise in the desert? an intimate sunrise elopement in the desert. i arrived at zack and jose’s elopement day at the crack of dawn, as the sun rose above the horizon. it was such a serene moment. the desert was so quiet, and as the sun rose, zack, jose, were covered in glowing golden light.
we spent the morning together, as they slowly got ready, while their family and friends woke up and starting to mosey about the gorgeous property at villa leche.
zack and jose told me prior to their elopement, that they had always been inspired by the photography of slim aarons (a wildly famous palm springs photographer from the 1960’s). on our consultation call, zack and jose referenced one of his photos; one that i actually have hanging in my living room at home: a large group photo around an iconic palm springs pool. as zack, jose, and i chatted it became apparent that the iconic slim aarons pool picture would be the inspiration behind our group photos. it was such a unique twist on group portraiture and i’m forever grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to have some fun with it.
the day continued with a beautiful ceremony on the lawn of villa leche, followed with champagne toasts and well wishes.
zack and jose’s day was one for the books, and a sweet reminder of the beauty of celebrating your day, your way.
